Muirkirk Caravan Park is now under New Management. George and Annette would like to welcome you to this picturesque park in Muirkirk which is situated in the beautiful Ayrshire Valley just 15 miles from the coast, 40 miles from Glasgow, 50 miles from Edinburgh and 10 miles from the M74 (A74M)

Muirkirk Caravan Park is a 9 acre all weather Caravan Park set in delightful countryside offering facilities for touring caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents and tents, there are also static holiday homes available for sale or rent. The Park is open all year round.

The Park comprises of:

Static caravans with full plumbing and electricity, central heating and double glazing
40 touring pitches with electric hook up
Heated shower and toilet block
Disabled facilities
Chemical waste disposal area
Licensed Club House

Although the park does not have an onsite shop it is only a short walk to the local amenities which include Co-op, petrol station, chemist, butcher, fish and chip takeaway and chinese takeaway.

There is plenty to see and do whilst staying in Muirkirk, for the golfers there is the Muirkirk Golf Club, a 9 hole golf course with a formidable reputation as one of the best 'hidden gems' of the South West Scotland, for those of you who enjoy fishing you can try the upper reaches of the Ayr Valley or loch fishing for wild brown trout in Glenbuck Loch, permits are available locally, please ask at reception.

There is the East Ayrshire car racing track, one of Scotland's top Motorsport Clubs which has a 800m sprint track, large tarmac paddock areas which they use for Autotests, external and internal rally roads which have been recently upgraded to tar to provide an excellent venue for Stage Rallies and for Rally Time Trials. Ayrshire attracts many walkers all year round and there are some amazing walks in the Muirkirk area. The River Ayr Walk starts near Glenbuck Lock and goes to the Firth of Clyde at Ayr, a distance of 67km, it follows the Ayr river which flows alongside the park.

Other walks include:
John Brown's Walk - 3.5 km
The Old Railway Walk - 4 km
Twa Brigs Walk - 5 km
Cairntable Walk (climb ? !) - 10 km
Sanquhar Walk (over the old coaching road) - 28 km

The site has it's own licenced Club House that is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday plus Bank Holidays for drinks, at competitive bar prices, bar snacks and live entertainment.

Poppy's Kitchen

Poppy's Kitchen is open weekends and holdiays in the function room, Breakfast will be served from 10.00am, food will be available all day.

The Club House is available for private hire for groups of upto 100 people, buffets catered for - please ring for more details.

Price includes for up to 2 adults and 2 children with 1 vehicle, extra people, awnings and vehicles will be charged accordingly.

All pitches have electric hook up and most are on grass standing, there are some hard standing bases for motorhomes available.

Small tents (1 - 3 man berth) - £10 per night.

Reduced rates can be negotiated for long stay - please ring to discuss.

Static Caravans for sale from £9,000 (including ground rent for 2012), part exchange considered. Ground rent is £1,500 per annum due 1st January. The park has a 12 month licence.

Static caravans to rent start at £250 per week - please ring for details.

Seasonal Pitches for Touring Caravans are available - pay £1 per day whilst stored, £15 per day when occupied, storage rent payable 3 months in advance or £1,000 for 12 months including electric.

We have a 4 acre field available if you would like to hold a rally with us.  There is no electric hook up for the tents/caravans but you will have the use of the toilet/shower block.  Please contact us for more details.
